WidowPC sells custom-built computers. They needed a custom-built order form on their website to allow their customers to design a computer.

Modular Merchant

Problem:
BandMateLoops.com outgrew their previous shopping cart software & hosting service, and needed to improve their website's membership area.  

Solution:
Our support techs transferred BandMateLoops.com over to Modular Merchant's shopping cart software, imported their customer & product data, and moved them to their own managed dedicated server.

Modular Merchant also designed and built a new member registration system that both their website and their store can share — reducing data redundancy. The new system also includes admin tools to securely distribute special promotional products to their website members.

Problem:
FreePrinters.com had an affiliate program and a separate online application for service contracts. They needed to track affiliate leads & commissions through both their shopping cart and application process.

Solution:
We saw an opportunity to improve our Affiliate Marketing module. We updated our Affiliate module to accept both store-based and non-store commissions, such as FreePrinters.com's online application.

Now FreePrinters.com can track their Affiliate leads from multiple sources, and all Modular Merchant Affiliate module owners received an intelligent update.

Problem:
ScrapGirls carries a giant inventory of scrapbooking materials. Their products are produced by dozens of different manufacturers on a consignment basis. ScrapGirls needed a custom report to track the gross & net sales for each individual manufacturer, to calculate their monthly earnings.

Solution:
A bit of programming gymnastics produced a Manufacturer Statistics report, detailing sales vs. cost of goods data for each manufacturer. The report can span any date range, and can export the results as an Excel spreadsheet. This report has since been introduced as a standard shopping cart feature, and is available to all clients.

Problem:
ellusionist.com sells instructional "street magic" videos. The videos play in a custom-built media player downloaded from their website. For security purposes, the media player must access a database and validate the customer's order data before the video is unlocked.

Solution:
We built a custom shopping cart module that connects to ellusionist's video database during the store's checkout process. When a video is purchased through their Digital Product module, the order data and a unique validation code are submitted to their database, keeping their shopping cart and media player records in sync.

Problem:
BaliBooty.com sells a wide variety of hand-crafted jewelry from Bali, Indonesia. With so many different categories of products, BaliBooty requested a custom category menu that could display an image and dynamically expand to show subcategories.

Solution:
An advanced category menu was developed that was compatible with both the shopping cart and the website. The custom category menu included product images, dynamic submenus and customizable designs for each menu.

Problem:
The UltimaGroup had an existing suite of websites and a fulfillment center, but their shopping cart software that just wasn't cutting it. Could they switch to Modular Merchant, but keep their existing websites and custom checkout pages?

Solution:
We set up the customer's product line in their Modular Merchant shopping cart and updated the code running their custom checkout pages, allowing them to move to Modular Merchant and retain their original custom checkout interface.
